Spring Sheep & Goat Sale
Saturday, April 17, 2010
10:00 am - 4:00 pm
South of Tahlequah, OK at the Cherokee County Fair Grounds.
There will be a number of producers there with animals for sale. There will be sheep and goats galore as well as possibly some livestock guardian/working animals.
This is NOT an auction. All sales will be private party sales.
There will mini seminars offered throughout the day.
GETTING STARTED WITH DAIRY GOATS - presented by Lisa Turner and Johnnye Morton
There will be a milking demonstration, as well as information on using milk for soap, cream, and cheese.
BASIC SHEEP AND GOAT HEALTH - presented by David Sparks and J.J. Jones
(David and J.J. will also be talking about the economics of the sheep and goat business.)
Drawings will be held throughout the day for certificates and or prizes!
If you have something to sell,
please contact one of the board members for information on this sale.
Pen rental is $10.00 per pen (5-6 adult animals per per).
Only members are permitted to sell animals/products at this sale.
We welcome "ALL" members of the public to come browse, visit, learn and make purchases.
PLAN TO ATTEND!!!.
You can purchase a membership at the door on the day of the sale.
